Marketing Specialist - Social Media, Content, and PR

Reports to: Brand Manager (vacant), tentatively reporting into Senior Marketing Manager, Brand & Retail Experience

Location: Vancouver, BC

Annual Salary: $61,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

COBS Bread is looking for a Marketing Specialist - Social Media, Content, and PR for our Downtown Vancouver Support office. This role will specialize in growing COBS Bread brand awareness across North America by driving social media strategy, brand copywriting, spearheading PR strategy, and delivering branded photo and video content.

Responsibilities includes:

  • Deliver social media strategy
  • Build content calendars, monitor engagement, and analyze performance metrics across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok and other channels
  • Develop and execute content plans across social media, paid media, website, eCommerce, loyalty, and Marketing projects
  • Plan, create, and publish visual content including graphics, short-form videos, carousels, and reels that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals
  • Utilize tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or platform-native editors to design and produce engaging visual assets
  • Create content for various marketing projects as the brand voice gatekeeper
  • Lead PR strategies through influencer programs, press releases and earned media outreach
  • Manage relationships with media contacts and coordinate press outreach
  • Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns that connect PR, content, and social media efforts
  • Support Marketing Team in managing relationships with PR Agency and Customer Listening Platform
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Marketing/Advertising/Communications degree or equivalent
  • Marketing experience in a retail environment, minimum 3 years with relative experience in communications, social media, and PR
  • Experience in working with Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience in photo and video production, editing, and image capture for social media
  • Extensive knowledge of social media channels
  • Extensive knowledge with Wordpress, Sprout, and Hootsuite
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Ability to manage relationships with external suppliers / agencies
