A classroom educator plays a crucial role in making the programs interesting, interactive and inclusive, encouraging a sense of exploration for each and every child. This should all be done in accordance with the vision, brand and culture of Childventures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the age-appropriate environment rating scale annually
• Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
• Follows the centre's Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
• Provides positive social experiences
• Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
• Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
• Implement emergency procedures
• Attending to the child's physical needs
• Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
• Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
• Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
• Daily observations
• Maintain child records

QUALIFICATIONS:

• RECE, ECA, or CYW
• Experience in early years education

We have apprentice opportunities for those currently, or soon to be, enrolled in an accredited post secondary institution, and have applied to the Ministry of Colleges and Universities
