Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Journeyman Welders and Welding Apprentices who are local to the Didsbury area.

Duties

• Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards
• Out of position welding (SMAW)
• Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints
• Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)
• General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.)
• Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings
• Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered.
• Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs
• The work may require you to enter confined Spaces
• General jobsite support

Safety Certification Requirements(safety certification and training can be provided to successful applicants)

• Site specific training provided
• H2S Alive
• Confined Space Entry and/or Rescue
• CSTS 2022
• WHMIS 2022
• Fall protection (an asset)
• CSA Steel toed boots required. Safety Glasses and Welders gloves are provided

Assets

• Valid Journeyman Ticket or valid Apprenticeship documentation
• Interprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an asset

• CWB Ticket all position SMAW
• B-Pressure ticket
• Employment is contingent on successful completion of welders qualification test (ASME IX)
