JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Manager, Design and Innovation, the Engineer III is accountable for the research, design, and implementation of new processes, technologies, and product types, applying to automotive chassis systems. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting detailed reverse engineering and product testing.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in conducting literature reviews, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Collect and analyze technical data to support ongoing R&D projects.
  • Help in identifying trends, new materials, technologies, or processes relevant to product development.
  • Work with senior engineers to design, prototype, and test new products or components.
  • Contribute to the creation of CAD models and technical drawings.
  • Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal use or external stakeholders.
  • Research vehicle platforms by leveraging available industry tools & resources.
  • Present samples to the team, highlighting accomplishments and opportunities
  • Develop new & innovative design concepts to revolutionize the customer's experience.
  • Measure validate and standardize various parameters to optimize product performance.
  • Support the growth of the engineering team by expanding design rules, procedures DVPS & Standards for internal and external use.

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3+ years of work experience in an engineering environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office is required
  • Experience in Autodesk Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor, & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is an asset
  • Experience working with Autodesk Nastran or other Finite Element Analysis Software would be an asset.
  • Experienced with applying General Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ASME Y14.5-2018 would be an asset.
  • Must be a team player and detail oriented.
  • Must be well organized and be able to manage 20-30 tasks/projects at any given time.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective business relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
