Position Details:

• Location: North Vancouver + Various local job sites

• Compensation: $30–$40/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Framing, forming, finishing, and general carpentry on custom residential and light commercial projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and shop drawings
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds building codes and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite
• Collaborate with team members, sub-trades, and clients
• Represent DIRO Contracting professionally on every job

Requirements:

• Experienced in residential carpentry (minimum 3+ years preferred)
• Skilled with tools and knowledgeable in construction methods
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to doing high-quality work
• Independent, but a team player when it counts
• Focused on excellence and doing the job right the first time
• Coachable and willing to learn new methods
• Organized and safety-conscious
• Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in all conditions
• Professional and respectful in communication
• Passionate about your trade and proud of your work

Bonus if you have:
• Your own vehicle and basic tools
• Experience with renovations and custom builds
• First Aid or other construction-related certifications
• A great sense of humour (we like to keep it fun too)
