Linck requires a contract, full-time Child and Family Consultant available to start as soon as possible and lasting until March 31, 2026.
The purpose of this position to provide intervention to childcare centers and families that are experiencing developmental and behavioral challenges This function is carried out in partnership with community treatment, childcare, health, recreational, educational and social services programs.
Qualifications:
  • Four year Honours Bachelors degree (BA) or Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW).
  • Up to three (3) months of directly related experience.
  • Registration with an applicable Ontario regulatory college.
  • Experience with special needs resourcing in educational setting.
  • Knowledge of community services.
  • Knowledge of infant/child exceptionalities of development and family systems.
  • Experience in case management and service coordination.
  • Proven ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and computer literate.
  • A valid driver's license and use of a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions; and
  • A commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-appropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve.
