About the Opportunity

Yorktown Search Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, a distinguished boutique professional services firm specializing in accounting and advisory services. Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Rainmaker Accountant to join their Transaction Advisory Services team. This role combines business development with the execution of transaction-related services, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), due diligence, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating new business and delivering high-quality advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the firm's transaction advisory services.
    • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Transaction Advisory Services:

    • Lead and manage buy-side and sell-side M&A engagements, including due diligence and financial analysis.
    • Provide clients with strategic advice on transaction structures, valuations, and negotiations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
    • Maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for additional services.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on transaction advisory services.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • A verifiable and portable book of business is required.
