Paralegal – Technology Group

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
Our client, a leading international business law and litigation firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join its Technology Group. This role involves assisting lawyers by providing specialized technical legal expertise.
- Conduct minute book reviews.
- Handle incorporations, including pre- and post-documentation.
- Manage extra-provincial registrations across Canada.
- Support reorganizations, acquisitions, mergers, amalgamations, amendments, revivals, dissolutions, name changes, and continuations.
- Review agreements related to transactions.
- Determine and draft required documentation.
- Complete and summarize due diligence searches.
- Organize and complete closing documentation and closing books.
- Complete provincial or federal corporate filings.
- Manage files from initiation to completion with minimal supervision.
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Paralegal in a law firm.
- Knowledge of legislation related to corporate law and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Familiarity with the corporate records database "ALF."
- Understanding of the incorporation process under the Corporations Act, with experience in public companies and the Securities Act.
- Proven ability to manage multiple files simultaneously with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent drafting capabilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and meticulous approach.
- Highly autonomous and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
