Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 CAD plus commission

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Full-Cycle Account Executive who has experience selling to enterprise retail, and thrives on the excitement of prospecting, qualifying, nurturing, and closing deals. Reporting to the CEO, this role offers significant growth potential for the right candidate, both within the position and the company. This will be the next evolution of your role, as you move beyond the typical Account Executive duties.

If your experience selling to enterprise retailers is anything like ours, you know that this is an industry that values trust and relationships over everything else. Sales cycles are long - typically taking 18-24 months, not because they dont need the product or because the product is bad, but because thats how long they take to trust you. As a Full-Cycle Account Executive, you will be responsible for nurturing validated enterprise prospects from lead to close. In addition to retail, you'll explore new e-commerce verticals facing pressing logistical challenges that Envoi can solve with minimal product and operational changes.

You'll work closely with the leadership team to design, execute, and analyze experiments that uncover new revenue opportunities, all while closing deals with household brands across North America.

This is a fully remote role with preference given to candidates residing in Ontario or Quebec. You will be expected to attend relevant industry events such as trade shows and conferences in person.

When you apply, consider this: this is a sales role. As a salesperson, you should be used to hearing no from a prospect, or often, not hearing anything at all. You often have to resort to creative and unorthodox ways to get a prospects attention. Your creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in your approach to this application is not only highly encouraged, but will greatly help your chances of securing an interview.
Application Deadline:

We are accepting applications until Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Please ensure your application is submitted by this date to be considered for the position.

Compensation:

$80,000 to $90,000 CAD plus commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking over, iterating on, and owning the lead generation process, including but not limited to finding potential leads, doing research on each lead and qualifying them based on pre-determined criteria.
  • Developing and executing experiments to source and generate leads, as well as reaching out and establishing BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline) through the most effective channels. Continuously refining these outreach strategies based on market feedback and insights, while staying informed about industry trends and lead-specific news to enhance engagement. This approach is designed to maximize the likelihood of converting prospects into high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • Cold-calling potential customers, prospecting for accounts, generating, and following leads.
  • Nurturing SQLs to closed-won, including but not limited to building relationships with all the stakeholders involved in each prospect organization, discovering their pain points, aligning them on desired outcomes, and communicating their needs to the operations and product teams internally.
  • Creating, executing, analyzing, and iterating on experiments to find new revenue streams for Envoi within the e-commerce vertical.
  • Participating in, completing, and submitting RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from SQLs.
  • Working with leadership to determine whether proposed pricing is sustainable to the business in both the short and long term.
  • Participating in creating and negotiating enterprise-grade service agreements and keeping records of sales and data.
  • Closing contracts and extending accounts.

Success Measures:

Success in this role means building relationships across key stakeholders in a focused list of high-value target accounts. Youll use creative, persistent outreach to open doors, uncover pain points, and close deals. While quality comes first, a high volume of personalized activity is essential to building a pipeline. We expect you to test different angles, channels, and messages to break into accounts, build trust, and win.

Success will be measured by:

  • Relationships made within a defined list of strategic accounts.
  • Number and quality of discovery meetings booked.
  • Pipeline value and velocity generated through outbound efforts.
  • Closed-won revenue and account expansion over time.
  • Collaboration with product and operations teams to translate prospect feedback into opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Eligible to live and work in Canada without restriction for the foreseeable future.
  • A Bachelors degree in business, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 3+ years of experience selling to enterprise retail and exceeding quotas.
  • Cold calling experience in a sales hunter role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with a strategic approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
  • A deep understanding of operationally focused business sales processes and operational knowledge in logistics.
  • An aptitude for grasping new technologies and tools quickly to better perform your duties, including but not limited to financial modelling in Excel or designing compelling proposals in PowerPoint.
  • An eye for design, and proficiency with using slide deck editing tools like PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, or Figma.
  • Discipline to log the progress of each prospect as they move through the sales funnel.
  • Curiosity and empathy to uncover and understand pain points of prospects, both at a human and organizational level.
  • Experience using Google Workspace and CRM software.
  • Being bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
