Main Purpose of Job:
Instructor works with students ages 4-14 and teaches various topics including pickleball and chess.
Reports to: Director, Instructor
Direct Reports: Volunteers, Teaching Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Be approachable, helpful, and familiar with the sports safety and a variety of sport
Assist children ages 4-12 Provide leadership on guiding groups of children with assertiveness and kindness
Support and follow all safety and security protocol including but not limited to equipment inspection and reporting; and Health & Safety initiatives at all times
Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, operations policies, procedures and working practices and other aspects of operations including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing procedures
Greet customers and parents and provide a memorable experience for all families.
Attend to customers in a timely manner
Be thoroughly familiar with website, entire line of services and products, daily and monthly promotions
Qualifications:
Minimum one year experience in teaching role preferred
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service and cash handling
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required
Communicate with the Team Leader regarding customer requests
Operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards; maintain proper cash levels
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products is beneficial
Possess a valid certificate in First Aid and CPR-
Note: Successful candidate will need to have a valid drivers licence. Programs are offered at many locations in both Mississauga and Brampton after school and on weekends.
