We are currently seeking a Truck and Trailer Mechanic Apprentice (310T Mechanic Apprentice) to join our growing operation. Headquartered in Etobicoke, ON (nearest intersection of Browns Line and Lakeshore), Starline Production Rentals Inc., was founded in 2000 and has grown steadily through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. Our resources include a fleet of over 850 specialized trucks and trailers to service the dynamic film and television industry. Supplying custom-built vehicles to accommodate actors, hair and make-up, cameras, rigging, wardrobe, and more requires ongoing repair and maintenance. Some other great things about us: * Professional team-spirited environment * Experienced team of mechanics who will provide hands-on mentorship * Benefit plan (health, dental and LTD) * Tool allowance and Boot allowance Qualifications & Responsibilities: * Must be familiar with repair and services such as electrical systems, landing gear and trailer frames, trailer bodies, suspension systems, wheels, hubs and axles, air and auxiliary systems, braking systems, and hydraulic systems. * Procedures will be under the direct supervision of a qualified 310 mechanic/supervisor * Additionally, will support the Mobile Generators division of our business with a variety of duties such as shop clean-up, inventory, oil changes, maintenance, service calls, testing and client service. * Performing scheduled maintenance service * Positive & professional work attitudes * Strong communication skills * Strong time management and organizational skills * Excellent attention to detail Experience & Working Conditions: * Valid G Drivers License * Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered 310T Truck and Coach Technician apprentice * 2+ years experience in the trade * Experience working with diesel and oil * Experience working with computers * Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, interest in overtime opportunities * Must be able to lift 50+ lbs * Must be able to stand for long periods of time * Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment * Able to work with the physical demands of the job * Able to work outside when necessary in varying weather conditions * Self-motivated; eager to learn and take direction from experienced team members * Ability to work effectively under pressure We thank you for your interest.
