You'd also be joining The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, and Madrina Bar y Tapas and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Loft). What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing dough according to District Pizza standards.
  • Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set out by our Chef
  • Operating standard kitchen equipment with caution
  • Maintaining clean and organized stations
  • Following FIFO method to maximize product freshness
  • Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary
  • Reporting any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to Chef on duty
  • Working collaboratively with BOH and FOH team members
  • Encouraging the DRC's core beliefs and values on a daily basis
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

What we would like you to bring to the kitchen:

  • EXPERIENCE. You have at least one (1) year of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • EDUCATION/TRAINING. Culinary degree/diploma completed, in process and/or the equivalent in education and experience is considered an asset.
  • PASSION. You have a genuine passion and drive to create.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS. You demonstrate exceptional relationship building and communication skills among your team members at the restaurant.
  • ADAPTABILITY. You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • PERSONALITY. Your friends would describe you as humble coupled with a good sense of humour.
  • FEATS OF STRENGTHS. You'll work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) and in an environment that can experience high temperatures. You can lift and carry light loads up to 40 pounds.
