Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Summer Student Administrative Assistant to support our office operations during the summer months. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining practical administrative experience in a community-based nonprofit organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Prepare documents, reports, and internal communications
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and organizing calendars
  • Maintain records and databases accurately and confidentially
  • Support HR and finance teams with summer projects, as needed
  • Assist in organizing internal events, workshops, and communications
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all organizational policies and procedures
  • Support the admin team and program managers by helping cover duties during vacations, ensuring workflow is maintained
  • Participate in improving office systems and communication processes during peak vacation periods
  • Assist with internal events, training sessions, or summer projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current full-time student returning to school in the fall
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
  • Previous administrative or office experience is an asset but not required
