We are looking for an experienced Linehaul Dispatcher to do vacation coverage for our client at their Transportation facility in Mississauga. Shift: Vacation coverage (must be flexible to workdays, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends as needed) Salary: $65,000/year As a Linehaul Dispatcher you will be responsible for: - Coordinating scheduling of drivers, trucks and freight - Directing pickup/delivery of freight - Assigning drivers/trucks and providing accurate directions to pickup and delivery facilities - Monitoring arrivals/departures by phone or satellite and dispatch program - Maintaining accurate logs and updates using dispatch program - Addressing driver concerns to maintain driver safety and retention - Keeping track of trip records and performing other office duties - Preparing documentation for departure of outbound units - Other duties as required Qualifications: - Must have Previous experience in a Linehaul Dispatcher position within the Transportation industry - Cross border experience - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Flexible with work schedule to cover shifts as needed Apply now!
