Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs/rebuilds plant production equipment and machinery as well as facility systems.
- Maintains optimum operating efficiency with minimum down time.
- Maintains on-going preventative maintenance programs complete with documentation.
- Identifies and implement plant improvements and improve cost effectiveness. Attends to machinery breakdowns and production stoppages.
- Operates machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
- Participates in and contributes to the continuous improvement process.
- Adheres to all workplace safety policies, compliances, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as required.
Nature and Scope:
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment:
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
- No travel required.
Education and Experience:HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.Preferred Qualifications:
- Millwright License 433A Red Seal with a minimum of ten years related industrial experience and proven success in process improvement, maximizing equipment efficiencies and run time.
- Capable of servicing new equipment and rebuilding/servicing old equipment.
- Working at heights training certification, forklift license, scissor lift experience/certification.
- Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings.
- Experience in welding.
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
