Technical Trainer (Hybrid) Survalent seeks a knowledgeable, confident, and dynamic Technical Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate learner with a strong background in utility software solutions and excellent public speaking skills. This role involves designing and delivering customer training programs across our entire product suite, including SCADA, Outage Management, Distribution Management, and Distributed Energy Resources. What will you be doing? * Deliver engaging, high-quality customer training in both physical and virtual classroom environments. * Design, develop, and regularly update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises. * Create training programs tailored to different audiences, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced users. * Assess trainees' understanding and provide constructive feedback for improvement * Stay current with advancements across our full product suite and industry best practices * Collaborate with the Product Team to ensure training content reflects the latest product features and capabilities. * Travel to customer sites to deliver training as needed (up to 25% of the time). * Other duties as required. What are we looking for? * Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology or related technical field * Experience writing training manuals, user guides, and job aids for IT solutions * Extensive experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) * Knowledge of Adobe LMS or similar platforms is an asset * Knowledge of Articulate 360 or similar design applications is an asset * Knowledge of Survalent software or similar ADMS platforms (SCADA/OMS/DMS/DERMS) is an asset. * Field experience in the use or implementation of utility software is an asset * Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision. * Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong speech clarity, professional demeanor, and confident delivery. * Fluent in English (speaking and writing); Spanish is an asset. * Strong problem-solving and listening skills. * Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and products. * Familiarity with instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles is an asset. * Experience delivering training in regulated or mission-critical industries (e.g., utilities, energy) is preferred. * Proficiency with LMS platforms and eLearning tools is an asset. * Ability to design and administer pre- and post-training assessments. * Demonstrated ability to incorporate customer feedback to improve training delivery. * Knowledge of electrical distribution system operations is beneficial.
