Thanks to our growth, we're looking for a new Structural Engineering Technologist to join our dedicated team. Working with an experienced team of engineers and project managers, you will complete the majority of the base design work for our projects. Your contributions will ensure that we meet project design objectives, client requirements, and maintain the high level of client satisfaction that we're known for. As our new Structural Engineering Technologist, your tasks will include: * Creating detailed design and drafting of structural drawings for building permit, tender, and construction * Coordinating 2D drawings and 3D models in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) * Providing technical assistance to architects, engineers, and other technologists * Working with firm managers and principals to meet budgets and deadlines * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, and other applicable codes, standards, techniques, and materials Every project you work on will present a dynamic challenge, with interesting problems to solve. Working on multiple projects at once, with numerous stakeholders, you'll also have a chance to exercise your time management skills, along with your communication and people skills. Qualifications: * 2-5 years' experience working as a structural engineering technologist * Experience working with both Revit and AutoCAD software for designing and preparing structural engineering project drawings * Strong familiarity with the Ontario Building Code * Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering technology * Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) * Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (for traveling to job sites) would be an asset * Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team (e.g., with other engineers, architects, or technicians) or on multi-disciplinary projects would be an asset How to Apply: Our online application gives you the chance to apply as more than just a resume.
