Belvika is currently seeking a Packaging Development Project Manager for its Export facility, located in Mississauga. Reporting to the Manager, Project Manager Office or designate, we are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of customer new product and packaging projects. In addition, the candidate will also review and recommend production line implementations, company process improvements and continuous improvements / efficiency projects. The successful candidate will: * Lead the planning and implementation of customer new product and packaging projects; * Lead new customer activity for project management and commercial workflow; * Lead major internal projects; * Facilitate project scope, goals and deliverables, organize and facilitate line trials; * Assist in the development of new product packaging, sourcing of packaging materials, review artwork for approval, proofs, mock ups, samples, colour proofs, etc.; * Communicate with suppliers to keep current on new developments, materials, etc.; * Develop packaging specifications for new and changing products. Maintain files and distribute specification to all appropriate departments. This includes new packaging codes and pallet patterns; * Develop project plans and track project timelines using tools such as Smartsheet; * Manage project budget and resource allocation; * Work closely with engineering and operations team on technical aspects of packaging; * Coordinate and direct external suppliers and liaise with customers on all projects; * Generate reports for Leadership on project status and progress; * Analyze and edit technical drawings or technical information when necessary; * Identify lean efficiency improvements within projects; * All other duties as assigned. Education/Work experience requirements: * 5+ years' work experience in packaging development, graphics or project management; * Packaging Engineering background is considered an asset. * Understanding and exposure to consumer products industry; * Bachelor or college degree required; * Valid Driver's License & access to own personal vehicle; * Ability to travel to other sites as required; * Knowledge of packaging materials and food packaging equipment an asset; * Strong Communication Skills, (document revisions and report writing); * Strong Organization Skills; * Strong Time Management Skills.
