Project Overview:

• Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Network Design Engineer (Network Solution Architect) to assist in the design and development of the client's Nuclear Azure IT Environment.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing critical network components such as Azure VNets, Azure Firewall, and secure connectivity to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow between on-premises resources and the Azure cloud environment.

• Azure VNet Setup and Configuration: Design, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) to enable secure, high-performance communication within the Azure cloud environment.
• Azure Firewall Configuration: Implement and manage Azure Firewall to safeguard network traffic, enforce access control policies, and secure the environment against external and internal threats.
• Secure Network Connectivity: Ensure secure communication between on-premises networks and Azure cloud infrastructure through the configuration of VPNs, ExpressRoute, and other secure connectivity solutions.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of network components and adherence to best practices.
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures to support ongoing management and audits.

• Successful configuration of Azure VNets for secure communication and resource management within the Azure environment.
• Full implementation and management of Azure Firewall to ensure robust network security.
• Enabling secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity between on-premises and Azure-based environments.
• Complete and clear documentation of network designs, configurations, and security policies.

• Azure certifications related to Virtual Networks, such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.

• Proven experience in configuring and managing key network components in Azure, including Virtual Networks (VNets) and Azure Firewall.
• Strong knowledge of secure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience setting up and configuring Azure VNets.
• Expertise in firewall configuration, network security, and traffic control within Azure environments.
• Experience with secure network communication protocols and solutions like VPN and ExpressRoute.

• Proficiency in Azure networking technologies, including VNet setup, Azure Firewall, and secure connectivity solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud network security principles and practices, particularly within hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues in cloud-based environments.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to design and implement secure network solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience documenting network configurations, processes, and best practices.
