Business Unit Leader, Wet Weather Flow Reduction * Full-time, permanent role based in Vaughan, ON * Full health benefits, competitive salary, and RRSP matching program * Registration and in good standing with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as a P.Eng. or actively working towards this designation is required We're Civica Infrastructure Inc. (Civica), (https://civi.ca/) a municipal water resources engineering consulting company located in Vaughan, Ontario. We provide consulting services to both private and public sector clients for storm and sanitary sewer capacity assessment and optimization, and storm drainage and stormwater management systems. Now, we're looking for a new member to add to our team. We're looking for a Business Unit Leader. That's where you come in. As our new Business Unit Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the Wet Weather Flow Reduction (WWFR) focus area within the business and you're ultimately responsible for maintaining revenue and sales targets, resource management and planning, client and project management, and project delivery within the team. You'll work directly with your peers and management in collaborating on planning, project delivery, and resource management for the overall success of the organization. You'll also be expected to plan, implement, and track specific short or long-term departmental goals, while remaining in alignment with overall company strategies and business plans as collectively agreed with other internal stakeholders. You'll be in charge of staff management, goal and strategy implementation, project control, project management, performance measures, and department administration. Beyond that, here are some things you'll be working on day-to-day: * Preparing the annual business plan outlining team objectives and targets for revenue, sales, staffing and resources, budget, clients, marketing, and other initiatives outlined for the annual business plan cycle * Collaborating with other Business Unit Leaders to ensure appropriate cooperation with business planning and financial and resource (time, money, equipment, etc.) projections * Creating detailed work plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully meet goals * Ensuring staff (Project Managers, etc.) have appropriately planned projects and provide support and advice for successful project delivery * Reviewing the plan (schedule, budget, priorities, etc.) with senior management and revising it as needed * Determining the objectives and performance measures that the goals will be evaluated upon their completion With each new project, you'll succeed here because you are: * Resilient – you expect setbacks, and have a strong drive to find a way to make things work. * Resourceful – you think creatively and love solving problems. * Independent – you are driven, self-motivated, and hold yourself to high standards * Collaborative – you are able to bring people together to find effective solutions Working at Civica Infrastructure Inc. This is a full-time, permanent position, with potential overtime/weekends during peak periods and with the ability to work remotely. Here's what we're looking for: * Registration and in good standing with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as a P.Eng. or working toward this designation * Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering * 10+ years of relevant experience * 5+ years experience in a project management capacity * Experience with client engagement and business development * Sound knowledge in Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) reduction strategies, flow and rainfall monitoring, SSES, hydraulic & hydrologic modelling & analyses * Excellent written and oral communication skills to provide support on studies and technical reports, proposals, conference presentations and with client relations * Commitment to client satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality work products * Organized and self-motivated individual with initiative and attention to detail * Capacity to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced consulting environment * Proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) * Valid G-class driver's license How to Apply: Please apply online, submitting a copy of your resume.
