PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISORS In Person, Calgary AB We're building a roster of hands-on humans to oversee the magic of making our small-batch gelato on our mostly-automated Production Line. During Supervision shifts, you'll oversee our production team, keep things running smoothly, and make sure our quality, safety, and daily output are on track. When another Supervisor is scheduled, you'll join the line in mixing, flavouring, filling, and packaging almost 12,000 pints of gelato a day! Other production duties include accurately filling out paperwork, tracking labeling, prepping product to be sent out to the lab for testing, and cleaning and sanitizing production equipment. Reporting to the Production Lead, this is a full-time, permanent, in-person role that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. WHO YOU ARE You're organized, observant, and deeply reliable. YOUR MISSION Production Oversight: * Own the shift: open huddles, set expectations, assign tasks, and ensure production goals are met. * Monitor processes like base making, freezing, mixing, and packaging to meet quality and safety standards. * Rotate stations and breaks effectively and ensure efficient transitions between shifts. * Close each day by prepping for the next—clean, restock, and reset. Team Supervision: * Supervise a team of 10–15 production team members including base makers, line workers, and packagers. * Support the onboarding and training of new team members under the guidance of the Production Lead. * Coach and correct in real time, and provide feedback that keeps things moving. * Maintain training documentation and support a safe, positive team culture. Food Safety, Quality & Efficiency: * Be obsessed with quality—every pint counts. * Monitor settings, troubleshoot small issues, and escalate bigger ones. * Ensure compliance with DEAR entries, batch sheets, quality checks, and temperature logs. * Communicate consistently with the Production and Manufacturing Leads. * Champion GMPs, hygiene practices, and workplace safety. * Recommend improvements to equipment use, process flow, or production performance. Production Team Duties: * Operate production equipment (pint filler, dater, sealer, etc.) safely and efficiently. * Label, weigh, and record everything accurately. * Ensure product is frozen and stored properly and waste is tracked throughout the day. WHAT YOU BRING TO RIGHTEOUS * Experience supervising or leading production teams in a fast-paced environment, or demonstrated leadership by example * Strong understanding of GMPs and health & safety protocols * Technical knowledge of production equipment and cycle * Physically able to work on your feet and intermittently lift heavy ingredients.
