Are you looking to join one of Greater Toronto's Top 2025 Employers? This position is responsible for developing relationships within an association to promote our client's insurance and retirement products.
How you will make a difference
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with members of an Association to review insurance needs, conduct a needs analysis and review retirement goals, analyze current coverage, identify gaps, present and explain options and associated financial risks and impacts.
  • Develop and build new relationships with members and spotting opportunities to educate and promote our client's offerings within the geographic location.
  • Present insurance solutions at various events and venues. Recommending insurance solutions to address needs and ensure members and their families have adequate and applicable insurance coverage.
  • Facilitate timely completion and approval of member applications for insurance coverage, clarifying information, responding to queries/emails, and liaising with the Insurance Associate.
  • Participate in advisor planning activities, projects, and initiatives, providing subject matter expertise, feedback, insights, and suggestions gained from interactions with members and peers. Actively participating in insurance initiatives.
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong working relationships across our client's organization, working closely with Managers, District and Branch centres of influence within local associations and clinics; other provincial association representatives, and industry colleagues to understand insurance and retirement trends/changes.
  • Remain current on emerging trends, technologies, and changes in applicable regulations, sharing information and promoting our client's offerings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Life License (LLQP) required
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics is preferred
  • Minimum four to five years of experience
  • Experience dealing with and educating high net worth members. The advisor must be able to articulate the value proposition of the programs and educate members on their personal financial situation
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), and Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) considered an asset
  • Specialized knowledge of Salesforce, Annuities, Retirement, and Sales Compliance
  • This role requires travel to our client's Toronto head office. There is also travel to events in your region (Ontario), as needed.
