Position Overview:

As a Beverage Director at Queen's Harbour, you'll have the opportunity to shape and elevate our beverage program while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your role is to deliver and oversee all aspects of our bar operations, from curating a top-tier beverage menu to managing costs, training, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development & Innovation: Curate and Develop beverages. Research trends to introduce new drinks and seasonal specials. Work with Chefs to create pairings that compliment food offerings.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Monitor inventory levels and place orders with vendors. Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and distributors. Ensure proper storage of wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Quality Control: Handle Feedback and adjust. Conduct Tastings and observe service to maintain consistency within.
  • Cost Control & Profit: Oversee and analyze sales reports to determine best selling. Develop pricing strategies to maximize profits while maintaining value. Minimize waste and track pour costs.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain proper licenses and permits, all while complying with local alcohol laws and health regulations.
  • Collabs and Events: Plan and execute special events (i.e wine tastings, bar boot camps, and brand collaborations.) Foster relationships with liquor brands for deals and sponsorships.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership, communication and training skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to resolve conflicts
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a beverage leadership role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong Background in Mixology, wine and spirits knowledge
  • Level 3 Wine knowledge is a must
  • Experience with inventory management, vendor negotiations, and cost control
  • Knowledge of local liquor laws and responsible service regulations
