OUR OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team!

We have 1 position available for 32-40 hours/week, Monday to Friday. This position will have a start time of 6AM.

• Pick quantity of items displayed on mobile device and places items into shipping packages
• Conducts quality control checks on orders
• Keeps work areas clean and organized.
• Stock shelves, organize inventories, and set up work area.
• Stack order bundles into shipping containers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job employees must be capable of comfortably lifting 20-40 pounds throughout the day.
• Employees may lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand and may push or pull material handling equipment including manual pallet jacks.
• Employees work in a warehouse environment and must demonstrate that they can competently follow safe work procedures and policies.
• Employees must be able to walk/stand for 8 hours per day.

  Starting rate $17.35 per hour, increases at 4, 8 and 12 months.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Previous warehouse or production line experience an asset
• Physically fit (work requires medium lifting [up to 25lbs], with reaching, handling and feeling and stooping and bending.
• Accurate arithmetic abilities including manual addition, multiplication, subtraction
• Neat and legible writing and printing
• Able to handle product in a quick and efficient manner
• Available to work part-time 32-40 hours/week. Shifts scheduled between Monday and Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm (8-hour shifts) May be required to work overtime or occasional Saturday shifts
• Team player who is committed to working with their co-workers.
• You must be an excellent communicator, someone who understands how to frame a message in a clear, concise, and compelling way
• Confident, motivated, flexible individual able to work with deadlines and switch easily from one task to another.
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to meet production deadlines without jeopardizing safety and job accuracy
• Pleasant, professional, and courteous communication skills
• CSA approved steel toed work shoes are mandatory within the warehouse facility and the responsibility of all employees at time of hire.
