About the role

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Entertainment Group in either our Victoria or Vancouver office. In this role, you'll work directly with clients from the vibrant world of entertainment, providing them with the financial support they need to focus on their craft.

How youll make a difference

As a Staff Accountant in our Entertainment Group, your unique contributions will include:

• Managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Preparing invoices and billings
• Performing payroll calculations and remittances
• Preparing regular external filings, such as GST, T4s, and T5s
• Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations
• Providing general client support

Who you are

• 1+ years of bookkeeping experience
• A keen interest in working with clients from the entertainment industry
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive rapport with clients and explain concepts clearly
• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, with superior organizational and analytical skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A strong working knowledge of MS Office, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies
