NewRoads Honda, a division of the NewRoads Automotive Group is hiring a Service Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team with excellent earning potential.

Responsibilities of a Service Advisor role include:

  • Greeting each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, letting customers who are waiting in line know that they will be helped soon.
  • Communicating with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems.
  • Securing agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed.
  • Obtaining customer and vehicle data.
  • Maintaining a dealership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair order written".
  • Scheduling appointments using dealership-approved forms.
  • Advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, using maintenance menus.
  • Keeping a daily log of repair orders written, status as well as carryovers.
  • Handling minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.
  • Communicating the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time consideration, and document properly on the repair order.
  • Following up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.
  • Handling telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and returning phone messages promptly.
  • Delivering vehicles to customers and answer any questions, reviewing work performed, and explaining charges and coverage.
  • Interpreting warranty information and policies to customers.
  • Staying up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership.
  • Referring leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments.
  • Advising customers of parts ordered and making an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves.
  • Following company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust, and harsh chemicals.
  • Demonstrating behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Assisting the Service Manager, as necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned where required.

What You Offer: 

  • Previous Service Advisor experience with Honda experience preferred;
  • Ability to multi-task, organized, and detail-oriented;
  • Clean Drivers Abstract;
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience
