ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Manager of Securitization Operations, you will take a key role in driving the operationalization of securitization facilities andfunding initiatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day administration of securitization processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the Capital Markets team. In collaboration with the internal Data Management team, you will ensure data quality and integrity to support critical business functions. In this role, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the MortgageHub, a securitization administration system, acting as a liaison between the system vendor and the in-house IT team.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for a finance and data enthusiast with strong analytical, organizational, and communicationskills to contribute meaningfully to Treasurys funding strategy.
In addition:
- Collaborate with Treasury to allocate eligible mortgages among investors efficiently.
- Monitor daily funding reports delivered to investors, ensuring data quality and identification of eligible mortgages.
- Securitize sold loans on behalf of investors, adhering to CMHC NHA MBS guidelines, and maintain accurate NHA MBS
- Prepare and submit required NHA MBS issuance documentation for investors to CMHC.
- Complete regulatory NHA MBS month-end accounting reports (2840) promptly for both HTC and investors pools.
- Manage and submit NHA MBS loan change documents, such as assumptions, to CMHC and custodians.
- Monitor mortgage activity within funding programs and address ineligible loans proactively.
- Conduct thorough mortgage data analysis to meet complex and ad hoc reporting needs.
- Prepare and deliver monthly mortgage data reports to title custodians and mortgage insurers.
- Partner with the BI team to design and develop reports that align with internal policy frameworks.
- Establish and document robust compliance controls, maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the business unit.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials, process narratives, and procedural documentation.
- Support internal and external audits related to securitization processes.
- Ensure adherence to legislative and regulatory standards relevant to the Securitization department.
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Great communication skills
- University degree in Business Economics or related area
- 5-7 years related experience within NHA-MBS and CMHC CMB programs ,mortgage insurance and Treasury areas
- Canadian Securities Course or CFA considered an asset
- Knowledge on SAP, Mortgage Hub and SecureHub considered an asset
