*Candidates must be available to work 40 hours a week until at least Dec 2025* We are hiring a full time Shipping Lead Hand for a well known meat and meat product company in Hamilton, ON. You will be working with various raw/cooked/smoked meats including chicken, beef and pork. Candidates must be able to interact in-person and on the phone with customers and co-workers effectively and professionally. MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE PORK PRODUCTS. Key Responsibilities: - Move inventory from the packaging department to the warehouse, moving pallets and re-palletizing products. - Perform computer work related to picking orders and invoicing, picking, and shipping orders efficiently - Use the company ERP program and Microsoft Office software for various tasks. - Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal with customers and staff Qualifications: - Previous experience in a similar role within a warehouse or shipping environment an asset. - Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. - Basic computer skills, including proficiency with ERP programs and Microsoft Office software. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) - Must be able to work with packaged meat (PORK) product in cold cooler and freezer environment. - Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
