HR Generalist

$66K - $70K + comprehensive benefits package
Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist. A strategic thinker and a true go-getter, ready to play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of the HR department. The HR Generalist will be responsible for various key functions, including recruitment, payroll processing, employee relations and development, benefit administration and compliance.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a strong background in HR, with proven expertise in recruitment, payroll, and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment – develop job descriptions in coordination with managers, create job posts, conduct initial screening and assist throughout the hiring and on-boarding process.
  • Payroll Processing – process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll.
  • Employee Relations - serve as a point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Compliance - maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with labour laws, and company policies.
  • Training and Development - support the coordination of training requirements and employee development programs.
  • Performance Management - contribute to performance management initiatives, including evaluations and goal-setting.
  • Social Committee – coordinate with social committee team on activities and initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant HR work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, employee development and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, an asset
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and payroll procedures.
  • Some experience with HR-related financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, highly organized and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to support employee through payroll, and benefit questions and issues in a timely manner.
