Position Overview: The Banquet Captain will oversee the successful execution of banquet events, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing banquet staff, and maintaining a seamless flow of service during events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all banquet functions, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Liaise with the Event Manager, chefs, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
- Ensure proper setup of event spaces according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decor, and audiovisual equipment.
- Greet and interact with clients and guests, addressing any concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces.
- Manage inventory and supplies, including linens, tableware, and beverages.
- Resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Serve guests during events to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably as a Banquet Captain or similar position.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, event coordination, and food and beverage service.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
