We are looking for a full-time permanent CBT Therapist to join our team!

Reporting to the Manager, NEWWM Multi-Disciplinary team, the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Therapist will work as part of a Multidisciplinary team. The CBT Therapist will be empowered to make a bigger impact than you ever imagined. The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program consists of a network of organizations working together to provide individuals who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress) with access to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). The purpose of this position is to conduct clinical assessments and deliver structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for people living in the Peel Region community.

Status: Permanent full-time, 37.5 hours per week; Note, this posting is for an active vacancy
Salary: $74,028.74 - $87,411.79 annually. (Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)
Location: This position is based out of our 10 Carlson Court office, Etobicoke. Although we operate within a hybrid workplace model, staff are required tohave on-site and/or community presence as per program and client needs.

Mandatory OSPP training is scheduled for the week of June 9th, 2025. Training is Monday to Friday during regular business hours. The successful candidate will be required to be available for the entirety of this training.

What You Will Do

: Conduct assessments (e.g., Diagnostic Assessment Research Tool, PHQ-9, GAD-7 and other diagnostic specific assessments) to identify symptoms experienced by clients and inform) and monitor individualized treatment plans.

Deliver CBT treatment to ensure progress toward goals, including management of symptoms related to mood and anxiety disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress.
Provide evidence-based CBT to individuals, in adherence with the OSP Clinical Model and Training guidelines.
Plan, organize and co-facilitate CBT skills groups, in adherence with the OSP Clinical Model and Training guidelines.
Collaborate with Community of Practice team members across OSPs network of organizations in the provision of care and support counselling wait volumes and/or organizational need across all regions covered by CMHA PD.
Regular contact with primary care provider to report clients service initiation and communicate at regular intervals of interventions and care plans including at service completion.
Maintain professional documentation within 24 hours of client contact, including assessments, progress notes and all relevant personal health information in respective portals and client records management systems as required by CMHA PD policy.

What You Need to Join Our Team:

Must be registered in the province of Ontario as a member in good standing with an appropriate regulatory college and eligible to perform psychotherapy as a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker, Registered Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse.
University Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing) Masters level is an asset.
Minimum 1-year experience in the mental health and addictions sector with a focus on assessment, brief interventions and short term supports.
Expertise in community mental health and/or community based human services.
Experience with a minimum of 2 of the following trainings or willingness to be trained in 6 months: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Virtual Care and Interprofessional Multidisciplinary Teams.
Valid G Drivers license, relevant insurance, and use of own vehicle.
Current CPR/First aid certification.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework.
Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
Valid Canadian drivers license and access to an insured automobile in good repair OR Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and North Etobicoke West Woodbridge Malton OR Ability to travel within and around Greater Toronto Area as required.
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
