Matrix HR is currently recruiting experienced Journeyperson-level Carpenters for framing work on a client's construction sites located throughout Calgary, AB. The work will specifically involve framing for residential housing, condos, and other related projects.
Pay Rate: $32/hr.
Scope of Work Includes:
  • Framing. (wood and steel)
  • Back framing.
  • Performing selective demolition and removal of waste as it relates to framing.
  • Operating hand and power tools.
  • Collaborating with other members of the carpentry team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks with varying physical demands, including lifting, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work at height and in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather.

Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior carpentry experience (residential or commercial).
  • Proficiency in wood and steel framing techniques.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of carpentry and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and our client's safety manual.

Requirements:
  • Relevant framing experience (residential or commercial).
  • Valid Driver's Licence (an asset).
  • Tool pouch and full PPE.
  • AWP and fall protection certifications preferred.
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications required.
