Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, support and maintain Panorama Business Object (BO) reports.
- This includes modifying the underlying components to conform to vendor upgrade releases of the Panorama product, business requirement changes, as well as support for Panorama reports.
- Supporting Panorama Immunization, Inventory and Audit reports, including 29 critical reports for Immunization and 44 reports for Inventory using Business Objects tools.
- Provide subject matter expertise to develop and maintain BO tools for development and unit testing.
- Provide Business Objects and Crystal Reports.
- SQL query creation and tuning.
- Provide Business intelligence and data analytics, data warehouse design, development and support.
- Conducting technical analysis, troubleshooting, and issuing resolutions for production operational support of Panorama reports and other components and utilities.
- Develop reports using relational and hierarchical database technologies.
- Provide information retrieval packages using query languages.
- Support BO administration and package creation.
- Provide and support BO upgrades.
- Conduct research and assessment of options for technical design issues.
- Provide impact analysis, effort estimate and solution design/development for supported solutions due to IR solution upgrades, software upgrades or any new requirements.
- Assess and analyze impact of upgrades to BO reports for Panorama updates, as well as developing the changes/improvements needed as per change requests already approved.
- Resolving and implementing critical fixes and changes as per defects found by business and as per Panorama critical changes.
- Conduct routine and incident management.
- Perform performance tuning as well as audit and ad hoc reporting per business requests.
- Meeting the service level agreements by troubleshooting and solving incidents opened for business objects reports via service desk.
- Maintain Development environments and continue continuous Integration (CI) practice.
- Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
- Conduct technical analysis, preparation of detailed programming specifications, program design, writing and/or generating code, and conduct unit tests.
- Provide software expertise in various computing platforms, operating systems, database technology, communication protocols, middleware and gateways.
Public Sector Experience - 5 points:
- Knowledge of the provincial immunization system and Public Sector large complex IT Health related projects or equivalent.
- Experience with integration of Clinical IT Systems such as Client and Provider Registries.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts (or similar), processes and practices, and ability to produce technical documentation that comply with industry standard practices.
- Knowledge of industry standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Experience adopting and adhering to Public Sector Unified I&IT Project Methodology, Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and Public Sector Gating process, and Public Sector Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
- SAP Business Object (BOBJ) and Crystal Report.
- Other Reporting tools, particularly Cognos and Power BI would be an asset.
