  • Develop internal reporting tools and dashboards to support decision-making across departments.
  • Direct all treasury and cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, investment strategies, and forecasting.
  • Manage all tax compliance, including commodity tax filings, and ensure timely remittances and accurate records.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
  • Provide strategic oversight of debt and financing obligations, ensuring compliance with all agreements.
  • Lead and support inventory and capital asset tracking, including depreciation schedules and disposals.
  • Serve as a key liaison to HR, payroll, IT, and benefits service providers.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the finance team through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Evaluate financial and operational risks, designing mitigating internal controls and processes to support compliance and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of stock-based compensation and capital structure elements.
  • Collaborate on corporate finance projects and support grant management or government funding processes as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing financial expertise to broader business initiatives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of accounting best practices, policies, and technological tools to drive continual improvement.

Qualifications
  • CPA designation with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within high-growth, regulated, or technical industries such as life sciences or manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data and systems integration.
