Job Description

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our growing global team at Sectigo.
The Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving go-to-market strategies for Sectigo's product portfolio. This role is essential to developing the strategy to meet our revenue and business goals. The individual represents a highly visible opportunity to influence and contribute to the business at all levels. This individual enjoys being at the forefront of showcasing high-impact narratives that will educate and energize our customers, partners, and sellers and collaborates closely with other Product Marketing Managers, PR, digital marketing, and other key partner teams. This individual also focuses on defining the best practices for cybersecurity adoption at the organizational level and the sales enablement strategy across the lenses of positioning & messaging, marketing tactics, Go-To-Market (GTM) investments, and approaches in different segments & channels on a regular basis.
This is a full-time position working in the hybrid model and at least 3 days a week from our Ottawa office, reporting to our Director, Product Marketing.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for the assigned product suite, including positioning, product-market fit analysis, pricing, buyer persona analysis, and sales enablement in partnership with Marketing.
  • Lead the company-wide development of the clear, compelling articulation of value propositions, USPs and overall benefits informed by customer research and competitive analysis.
  • Distill actionable insights for the channel, contributing to deliverables such as seller trainings, enablement content, objection handling, synthesis of key announcements and product releases
  • Manage the product launch cycle, partnering closely with Product, Demand Generation and Content Marketing to bring new features to market, as well as develop a methodology for segmenting different types of releases.
  • Together with Product team, lead our pricing and packaging strategy to help drive adoption of new product capabilities and support new customer segments.
  • Serve as a company expert on the competitive landscape, developing competitive overviews and battlecards to keep Product/Sales teams informed about changes and unique selling points; surface new features that enable the assigned product suite to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Create, maintain, and educate the sales team and our partner ecosystem via key assets, such as pitch decks, demo scripts, proposal templates, and other product content. Continuously update to address objections, market shifts, etc.
  • Develop internal enablement materials that help Sales articulate the assigned product's value proposition to appropriate targets, including playbooks with ideal customer profile and buyer persona guides.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the progress against Product Marketing program goals and ROI, with accountability for attaining goals relating to new customer acquisition, product adoption and revenue.
  • Conduct customer and competitive research; share findings and use insights to inform product marketing strategy.
  • Attend networking events, seminars and conferences, as required to maintain personal professional development and to build networking and new business contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field with equivalent work experience is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles.

  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry is strongly preferred but not required.

  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.

  • Keen ability in unpacking highly complex technical and business-oriented concepts into easily understood frameworks that stakeholders (internal and external) can easily understand.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional presentation and relationship management skills

Research and Analysis:

  • Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.

Project Management:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Prior experience writing strategic plans (e.g., market strategy, launch plans) that influence and align diverse stakeholders.

Customer Focus:

  • Customer-centric approach with a proven ability to understand and address customer needs and pain points.

  • A customer always marketing approach with proven success in conducting extensive customer research to understand what their goals, pain points, and values are.

Collaboration:

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Adaptability:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment with an ability to stretch from strategic thinking to the details of execution.
