Purpose:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will help drive growth by identifying and engaging new potential customers. The role is responsible for outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and setting up opportunities for our Sales Team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the BDR will directly contribute to Stocksys expansion in key markets, including enterprise brands and agencies.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day. Typical office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (or as agreed upon with Team Lead). All conditions of employment will be in accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act.

Technical Competencies:
- 3+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or sales-related role (experience in media, creative industries, or SaaS is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects effectively through cold/warm calls and written correspondence.
- The ability to innovate, split test, and iterate sales strategies, someone who uses data to be creative and get results
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience with CRM software (Hubspot) and sales engagement tools like ZoomInfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator is highly desirable.
- Ability to research and understand client industries.
- A passion for creativity, digital media, or visual content is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads.
- Research and identify potential clients, with a focus on enterprise brands and agencies.
- Engage with decision-makers and influencers to understand their needs and pain points.
- Educate prospects on Stocksys unique value proposition.
- Qualify inbound leads and set up meetings for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM, tracking outreach and lead progression.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts.
