Profile

The Liaison Engineer is responsible for dispositioning non-conformances, developing repairs and coordinating their implementation within the aircraft manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide world class service and act as on-site engineering support for extended maintenance and modification programs involving Viking's products. This includes supporting the development of technical solutions, development of engineering data, and acting as a principle point of contact for the customer, modification and maintenance service provider, and Viking personnel.

· Act as the primary point of contact for the development and certification of repair and other design change projects in accordance with the requirements set forth by Viking Engineering and customer support service standards.

· Develop substantiation for design changes and work with the Engineering Manager to prioritize work activities.

· Manage ongoing mod projects in accordance with department priorities.

· Coordinate with DAO and manufacturing/maintenance to ensure conformity of new designs

· Apply project management principles in executing and overseeing projects. Monitor progress on deliverables and update stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

· Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in Aerospace, including 3-5 years of MRB experience in the structures discipline.

· Minimum of 5 years' experienc4e in repair design is expected.

· Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment & structural design.

· Direct knowledge/experience with the CL-215/415 Water Bomber Aircraft would be an asset.

· Detailed knowledge of structural analysis and certification requirements is strongly preferred.

Skills

· Proficiency in reading and understand technical drawings.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong ability to document and communicate information using a computer and required software.

· Able to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
