Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business leader to expand our efforts in managing and developing our successful Product Synergy business, expanding it across all Delta Group companies within the building automation group. The role also aims to grow the solutions offering to become the major part of the business. This role will be instrumental in driving growth through effective product management, market analysis, and strategic partnerships with 3rd party products vendors & sister companies.

The ideal candidate will report to the President of Delta Intelligent Building Technologies Inc. (also known as Delta Controls). We need a leader to build not only the current business but extend it across all the Buildings Group companies across Delta Electronics.

Duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work with other companies in the Building Automation Business Group, product management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and application engineering teams to develop and execute a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and customer needs within the building automation industry in order to continue and/or increase our business growth.
  • Define requirements for an innovative product portfolio based on customer requirements, technical feasibility, target verticals markets and business objectives.
  • Drive the development of value-added Product Solutions targeted towards specific applications and markets, overseeing the integration process through to market delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with EQUIP vendors.
  • Collaborate with application engineering and product management teams to inform product roadmap decisions and drive the product portfolio ensuring alignment.
  • Establish pricing strategies, manage product pricing models, and conduct profitability analysis.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and marketing collateral development.
  • Monitor and analyze product portfolio performance metrics, sales data, and customer feedback.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer service and procurement.

Required skills and abilities

  • Strong business acumen, with experience in growing a distribution business desired.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in account management.
  • Proven track record in product distribution and commercialization.
  • Technical knowledge on smart buildings, data centers, healthcare, energy management preferred.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or product marketing, with a proven track record of successfully managing product portfolios.

Type: full-time, Permanent
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 CAD
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
