- Reporting to the Program Director, the Senior Project Manager will work collaboratively with the Functional Architects and senior project team leads but should understand the boundaries surrounding direction of work being from the team leads.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with clients, business partners, vendors and contractors, working collaboratively across all levels of the organization to ensure successful outcomes.
- Assists the Program Director with the development of business mandates, performance plans, overall business direction, strategic plans, and business operations for the project.
- Oversees the design, delivery, maintenance, monitoring and management of the SMTP project to meet current and future business needs of clients; and
- Orders and approves project evaluation and post-implementation reviews, including implementation of business changes.
- The Project Manager is required to have the following skills and experience:
- Degree, diploma, certification in Business Administration or Project Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow experience with developing solutions for large public sector organizations, which may include but is not limited to a Province, municipality, state, or federal government entity, with complex Service Portal and Request Fulfilment requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on and collaborating with business stakeholders as well as other product delivery teams.
- Minimum of 5 years participating in the implementation of Service Now modules, portals, Service Catalogue, Centre of Excellence, outside platforms, API s and well versed in release / program increment planning and management.
- Minimum of 5 years experience mentoring, leading and resolving complex staff, client and vendor issues.
- Minimum of 5 years experience establishing collaborative relationships at a strategic level with executives and contractors.
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading organizational change associated with system or process implementations.
- Minimum of 5 years experience designing and implementing new or major transformations of an organization s core business with multiple delivery components (i.e. governance, operations, engineering, finance, customer service delivery).
- Demonstrated experience in strategic business planning; contract management; financial management and leading multi-party negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience in the directing, planning and management of project requirements to ensure efficient, effective and economical delivery of services.
- In addition to the skills and experience set out above, the candidate should demonstrate and have the following additional skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience leading and coaching multidisciplinary senior management teams in the development and implementation of a diverse range of projects.
- The ability to consult with other business areas to align planning with overall divisional, ministry and government processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; presentation skills and attention to detail when communicating.
- Ability to plan, estimate scope of work, measure outcomes, manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines.
- Proven ability to challenge and remove any unnecessary barriers to product process, delivery.
- Analytical, problem solving and judgement skills.
- Conflict management, negotiation, influence and issues management skills; and
- Supervisory skills and the ability to provide inspirational leadership, manage performance, provide coaching, motivation and corrective action when necessary.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships internal/external contacts and stakeholders/partners/clients.
