Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper/ Accounts Payable, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. You will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, contribute to the month-end closing process, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The scope of responsibilities will include:
- Processing Daily and Monthly claims Payments
- Daily/Monthly bank reconciliations of all claim's accounts.
- Monthly Float reconciliation
- Preparing weekly / monthly float reports
- Processing accounts payable on a weekly basis including entering invoices and cutting cheques.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all claims' payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Review and process expense reports for staff.
- Prepare Monthly accruals, and prepaid entries.
- Prepare various bank, accruals, prepaid and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work with Controller to help prepare the financial statements
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting payable process.
- Experience with Sage 300 accounting software
- College/University Degree or Professional Training in the field of accounting
- Minimum 3+ years' experience working in accounting field.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Good knowledge of MS Office
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000 to $60,000.00 per year
