We focus on projects that improve the quality of life in communities across Ontario – ranging from asbestos abatements to school and hospital renovations, and everything in between. We're growing, and now seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team! That's where you come in As our new Senior Estimator, your role will encompass a variety of functions within our company. You'll spend most of your time working in our office with blueprints and designs to produce accurate takeoffs and estimates for our full range of projects. Some of your major responsibilities will include: * Drafting proposals and tenders * Organizing schedules with internal staff as well as clients * Communicating with contractors to provide updates * Traveling to sites to do research and surveying * Coordinating and contracting subtrades Using a keen attention to detail, you'll come up with realistic deadlines and financial estimates that will keep us competitive while satisfying customers. Your work will help our projects come to life. As our Senior Estimator, you will also have the opportunity to meet with clients face-to-face, serving as a company representative to explain our scope of work. Working with Us This will be a full-time, permanent position with hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some evenings and overtime. You'll make a great starting salary, and can expect to earn between $90,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on your experience. We offer a benefits package, company vehicle access, and pension matching as well. Depending on your ability to expand and improve our business, you may also be eligible for bonuses. We're a small company of just 35 people, with only 3 or 4 working out of the office. That means you'll have a big impact and plenty of autonomy when you start. If you take initiative and have a strong vision for how to make improvements, you'll have the latitude to do so. Sr. Estimator Qualifications * Experience as an estimator in general construction * Experience working as a surveyor for the purpose of construction/demolition * Significant experience using current estimation software * Experience drafting accurate takeoffs * Strong computer skills, especially as they relate to estimation/design/blueprints * Experience in project management, timelines, and scheduling * Experience coordinating with subtrades * Knowledge of asbestos demolition/abatement would be an asset * Certification as a civil engineering technologist * Member of OIQS or CIQS How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
