What You'll Do:
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures and policies in alignment with industry standards and company objectives.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Create and implement Root cause analysis actions for reduction of recurring quality non-compliances.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of quality technicians.
- Provide guidance and direction to ensure team members are performing at their best.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify deviations, defects, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support other department deficiency reduction through collaboration and cross functional improvements with PD, PM's, ICE/Hive, Supply Chain to deliver VPP and PIP targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on audit findings.
- Lead quality site training programs (Quality 101 alongside Lean 101, SOP training workshops, etc.)
- Train and implement site employees in all quality escalation tools including NCMs, reorders and reworks, and quarantine processes.
- Maintain comprehensive quality records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (ISO).
- Prepare and submit quality reports to regulatory authorities as necessary (Intertek, etc.)
- Working closely with the continuous improvement team on initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing process enhancements.
- Engage with customers to address quality-related concerns and ensure their satisfaction with our products.
- Implement, improve and maintain the Daily Quality Incident Record System for the site or department.
- Responsible for investigation and resolution of quality issues reported from partners and end users.
- Coordination and preparation of presentations for manufacturing team gatherings / all hands meets regarding quality and productivity performance.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in a relevant field (Engineering or Quality Management) preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
- Certification in quality management (ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is a plus
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Problem solver with the ability to think analytically and outside the box.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize.
