Job Description:
Responsibilities:

• Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.

Must Have:

• 5+ years' experience with Drupal and Symfony.
• 3+ years' experience with JavaScript frameworks and Elasticsearch.
• Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary agile team.
• Strong communication skills are a must.
• Nice to Have: Prior Government experience.

Full Stack Skills:

• Proficient with both front end and back end development, including any associated areas such as database design/management and DevOps.
• Knowledge and experience with design and implementation of the overall web architecture.
• Experience with implementation of approved user interface, design and deployment of database.
• Knowledge and experience ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability.
• Knowledge and experience with the design and construction of REST API services, integrating front-end UI with the constructed API, design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications and in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
• Experience with middleware and gateways.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging.
• Ability to provide post-implementation support, resolve any post-implementation technical issues, provide user and system documentation as required.
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team.

• Strong knowledge of software standards and best practices in delivery of complex, user-centric IT solutions.

Development experience - 40:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a professional, programming position implementing large-scale solutions with Drupal, Symphony.
• 3+ years' experience with Javascript frameworks and Elasticsearch.
• Proficient in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Build our CI/CD and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience with various relational and non-relational data stores e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis,
• Demonstrated experience with Cloud delivery / deployment models and working with DevOps.

Framework And Testing Experience - 15:

• Testing end-to-end, cross-browser, device, and accessibility testing (e.g. WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards) including running automated test scripts.

Design and Architecture - 15:

• Strong understanding of modern architectural principles for cloud-based solutions
• Proven experience designing modern architectural patterns to support delivery of complex IT solutions that are reliable, secure, responsive and scalable.

Leadership And Methodologies -15:

• Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Comfortable participating in design sprints and bringing candidates product and technical ideas to the wider team.
