Engineering Services Business Developer
Make Your Impact! Join our client to shape the future of electrification and automation while driving innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy, oil and gas, and EPC sectors.
Our global client is expanding its electrification and automation division and seeks a dynamic Business Developer with experience selling engineering services to drive growth with companies supporting renewable energy, the oil and gas sector, and EPC clients. This position solely focuses on selling our clients outsourced engineering services capabilities. This is a services-focused sales position, not a product sales position!
Reporting to the Canadian Head of Sales, you will collaborate across global teams to deliver impactful results in this high-potential market. This role identifies project engineering opportunities within this vertical, develops the approach and overall business strategies, fosters strong client relationships, and leads the sales process from opportunity discovery to execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sales development for Canadian oil and gas and EPC clients, covering both new project builds and service work.
  • Develop and execute account and market plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities, engage key decision-makers, and navigate complex sales environments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through active onsite visits and engagement sessions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and execution teams to deliver tailored technical solutions and proposals.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and manage the sales funnel effectively.
What You'll Bring
  • Technical degree or relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Strong background in the oil and gas sector and/or EPC projects.
  • Experience with propulsion, power, control systems, or low/medium voltage equipment.
  • Knowledge of automation, controls, and electrical integration (willingness to learn new systems).
  • Proven sales and business development expertise promoting engineering services and solutions; this is not a product-based (features and benefits) sales approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and operate independently.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada (~20%).
Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to work with a small, diverse, and collaborative team.
  • Exposure to all sides of the business—from strategy to execution.
  • Career growth, flexible work environment, and competitive compensation package.
  • Meaningful work contributing to innovative energy solutions for oil and gas and EPC clients.
Apply today to be part of a forward-thinking team transforming the energy landscape!
