Project Overview:
- Our client is looking for a highly skilled Network Support Analyst to provide support and administration for network infrastructure in the Intelligent Networks & Infrastructure team.
- The Network Support Analyst will have extensive experience in configuring and administering CISCO network hardware, as well as working with DWDM/MPLS configurations.
- This role involves maintaining network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal network functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- CISCO Network Hardware Configuration & Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot CISCO network hardware, including routers, switches, and other network components, to ensure network performance and stability.
- DWDM/MPLS Configuration & Administration: Manage and configure Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) systems to ensure efficient and secure data transmission across the network.
- Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and ensure that all systems are operating efficiently. Troubleshoot network issues, including both hardware and software-related problems, and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Network Security & Troubleshooting: Assist in ensuring the security of the network infrastructure by monitoring and addressing vulnerabilities. Work with network teams to resolve any incidents or outages, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with other network teams to improve network efficiency and functionality. Document network configurations, incidents, and solutions, and report on network health to management.
Key Deliverables:
- Configured and properly administered CISCO network hardware, ensuring smooth operations.
- DWDM/MPLS network configurations successfully implemented and maintained.
- Timely troubleshooting and resolution of network performance or hardware issues.
- Documentation of network configurations, troubleshooting processes, and performance reports.
Mandatory Experience:
- CISCO Network Hardware Configuration & Administration: Hands-on experience in configuring and administrating CISCO network hardware, including routers and switches.
- DWDM/MPLS Configuration & Administration: Proven experience in configuring and managing DWDM and MPLS systems to optimize network performance and data transmission.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with troubleshooting complex network infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Prior experience working in large-scale, enterprise-level network environments is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in configuring and managing CISCO networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Strong understanding of DWDM and MPLS technologies and how to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot them.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network and hardware issues effectively.
- Good understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and document network setups and incident resolutions.
