Our Client is a Real Estate conglomerate who is a pioneering force in Ontario's real estate industry and they are searching for a Senior Accounting to join them on 3+ month contract assignment. The role is full time in office located in Vaughan.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
• Responsible for all financial reviews and variance analysis for corporate entities, partnerships, joint ventures and development projects managed
• Responsible for financial statement preparation and completion under ASPE for different legal entities
• Assist and co-ordinate year-end audits and working papers for various legal entities assigned
• Responsible for all aspects of the General Ledger
• Manage Capital Assets Schedule
• Assist with the establishment of standardized reporting, policies and procedures and systems support global asset management platform
• Other analyses and special projects as required by Management Team
TMGCT
• University Degree or College degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designated or designation in progress
• 3+ years' experience with financial statement preparation, full disclosure reporting and consolidation
• 3+ years' experience with Financial Accounting and Real Estate industry experience
• Good knowledge of real estate in commercial, industrial and residential homebuilding preferred
• Strong system skills including Newstar and or Yardi a must
• Strong excel skills required
• Proven track record of financial analytical skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with willingness to grow and learn
