Our Client is searching for a Service Technician for Automated & Revolving Doors – Vancouver, BC
Are you a skilled problem solver with a passion for mechanics, technology, and delivering top-tier service? Our client is looking for a Service Technician specializing in automated and revolving doors for high-traffic commercial environments such as hospitals, airports, shopping centres, and office buildings in Vancouver, BC.
This is your opportunity to grow in a dynamic, hands-on role where your work supports seamless access and safety across some of Vancouver's most critical facilities.
What You'll Do:
  • Inspect, Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in automated and revolving doors to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to improve performance and reduce downtime in demanding commercial spaces.
  • On-Site Problem Solving: Provide quick, efficient solutions under pressure while upholding safety standards.
  • Work Independently: Manage your own service schedule while meeting quality, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: Proven experience installing or servicing pedestrian automatic door systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and electronic components; ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
  • Safety Focused: A solid understanding of workplace safety, especially in secure or high-traffic areas.
  • Efficiency: Ability to manage tasks effectively in diverse, fast-paced environments.
  • Customer-Centric: Professional, clear communication with clients to ensure a positive service experience.
  • Certifications: AAADM certification required. Background in automation, metalwork, and electrical systems is a strong asset.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license with clean driving record, legal eligibility to work in Canada, and ability to pass a criminal background check.
