Territory Manager – Retail Operations
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our retail fuel and convenience services client to find a first-class Territory Manager to join their team in Ottawa/Gatineau. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee a portfolio of company-controlled convenience stores, fuel stations, and select dealer outlets—driving performance through coaching, analysis, and operational excellence.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:

• Prepare and negotiate annual projections and financial targets with retailers
• Perform regular site visits to monitor merchandising, marketing execution, and operational standards
• Coach and motivate retail agents to maximize sales and profitability
• Communicate corporate strategy and programs to site operators
• Analyze financial and sales data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and risks
• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance to ensure high standards of readiness
• Contribute feedback to improve company-wide retail operations policies
• Oversee a designated test/training store within the territory

You should have the following in your background to apply:

• Post-secondary education in business or related experience
• Prior experience in retail management and merchandising
• Contract negotiation experience is an asset
• Bilingual in English and French
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable with frequent travel across the assigned territory
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
