MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our Canadian Conference client to find a first class Director of Administration to join their team in Ottawa, On. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee and manage the financial, human resources, administrative, and operational functions of the Conference, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic planning in alignment with organizational goals.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, investments, and payroll while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Supervise HR functions, including recruitment, compensation, training, performance management, and collective agreements.
- Establish management, administrative, and operational policies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Act as a resource for staff, oversee corporate documents, liaise with external professionals, and ensure pension plan compliance.
- Manage office space, negotiate leases, and approve contracts related to operations, renovations, and services.
- University diploma with a major in accounting or administration.
- Minimum of 10 years in a related field, including financial planning and investments.
- CA, CMA, or CGA certification required.
- Proven experience in staff management and overseeing multiple operational areas.
- Ability to work in both official languages with excellent oral and written communication skills.
