About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team at a well-established food and beverage organization. This role is essential in keeping our maintenance operations organized and efficient across two facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, in-person role where you'll play a critical part in ensuring our equipment stays in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate equipment repair history and timely generation of reports for analysis.
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules based on manuals and best practices. Generate detailed work orders, including scope, required resources, and timelines.
- Organize and update the inventory of parts and tools. Ensure that the right parts are ordered and available for maintenance tasks without delay.
- Work closely with the Tool Crib team to ensure seamless coordination of parts and maintenance schedules. Provide backup support to the Tool Crib during vacations or absences.
- Track and record key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment performance, breakdowns, and maintenance activities. Use these insights to recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with external contractors for service work. Schedule their visits, maintain documentation, and monitor the results of their work.
- Provide support to maintenance supervisors by assisting with staff scheduling and daily oversight of maintenance activities.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance (PM) standards are up to date and effectively utilized. Collaborate with production teams to align maintenance schedules with daily operations.
- Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- BS/BA degree is required, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering or related education
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance planning role within a food or CPG manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and Oracle-based systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS or similar asset management systems.
- Basic technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while maintaining a collaborative approach with the team.
- Experience in food or CPG manufacturing as a Maintenance Planner is required.
- Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Mechanic is a plus.
- Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 annually, with overtime pay after 44 hours.
